Privacy
Draft of October 2026. It will change before launch.
What we collect
- Account. Your email address, a display name, and a password that is stored only as a hash.
- Viewing. Which episodes you start and finish, where you stopped, and the series in your list.
- Coins. Every purchase, reward, unlock and expiry, as a line in your coin history.
- Device. A random id stored in your browser so we can count visits before you sign in, and the campaign link you arrived through, if any.
We do not collect your contacts, your location or your microphone. Card details go to the payment provider and never reach us.
Why we collect it
- To run the service: resume playback, show your balance, unlock what you paid for.
- To understand what people watch so we can commission more of it.
- To measure which ads and links bring people to DramaWatch.
- To prevent fraud and meet tax and accounting rules.
Who sees it
Companies that work for us: hosting and database, video delivery, payment processing and the app stores. They may use your data only to provide that service. We do not sell personal data.
Cookies and local storage
We set a sign-in cookie, a random device id, a 30-day cookie that remembers the campaign link you came through, and a session cookie that remembers you dismissed the preview bar. There are no third-party advertising cookies on the website today.
How long we keep it
Account and viewing data stay until you delete your account. Deleting it removes your login, profile, list and watch history. The record of purchases and coin movements is kept without your name or email for as long as tax law requires.
Children
DramaWatch is rated 13+ and is not meant for children under 13. If we learn an account belongs to a child under 13, we delete it.
Your choices
You can change your display name and delete your account from the Account page. To ask for a copy of your data or to correct it, write to privacy@dramawatch.studio.
